We are a party of the majority, and this is because of Ion Iliescu. . There has never been a Romanian leader so close to the people. And this is not just about his freewill. Ion Iliescu feels good among the people and people feel at ease when they are close to the President. (.) Due to the tough path that we will have to follow in the future we need him to come back in the party and lead it. We need him in the Parliament. This is the motive that led to this invitation and, at the same time we are being sure it will be accepted", said Nastase.
STATEMENTS"We have the same laws and Constitution as in 1992. I took part in the elections being President in the same time in 1992 and in 1996, too. There is no change in this area"
