The Ghost at the Senate

Last week, Mr. Emil Boc said that the agreement between PD-L and PRM was probably a mistake. I think we went too fast over an important moment in terms of politics and science. Because it seemed definitively established that Emil Boc is never wrong.

The mechanism of this infallibility is simple. We know, due to a large number of experiments, that Traian Băsescu cannot be wrong. We also know that the political thinking of Emil Boc is based solely on the justifying, explaining, worthy praising and implementation of the treasury of mind in Cotroceni. Therefore, Boc himself cannot be wrong. This is why the last week’s statement surprises.

The formal logics maintain our perplexity. If Boc says the truth when he says that he was wrong, then this is how it is. If not, he has not made a mistake with the PRM, but he was wrong when he said that he had made a mistake. Anyway, an error pierced somehow the superhuman shield of the titan in Cluj.

Or not? Because there is still hope. Emil Boc doesn’t say who made a mistake when Vadim Tudor became the vice-president of the Senate.

Short recap of the facts. They announced that PD-L has given up on the position in the favor of PRM. Traian Băsescu publicly states he had nothing to do with it.

Emil Boc said immediately that he had no idea about anything because this is an issue of the parliamentary group.
The parliamentary group points the finger at the leaders of the party. And so on.

At first, therefore, one would reach the conclusion that the PRM has signed an agreement with a ghost. The only thing solid in all this is the chair of Vadim Tudor in the Senate.

Second, the PD-L leaders go to Cotroceni to tell the President that this was not his idea. The President agrees with this and explains to the beginners the actual status of things. Then, the statement of Boc appears and he speaks in an open manner about the mistakes, without describing the person guilty for those mistakes.

This way, the PD-L-PRM agreement starts to look like Haissam’s escape from Romania. Nobody is to blame, no one has seen anything, and the only thing certain is that the Syrian is across the border.

There is one more question without an answer. How can a party that cannot take full responsibility for their own decisions, take responsibility for governing the country? Because, you see, we do not need something that does not exist, that is politicians that are never wrong. We would really need some leaders to acknowledge their errors, to take responsibility for their decisions and learn from all this.
